Sustainability has always been integral to Sundaram Finance in the way we operate and engage with communities. Over the years, we have consistently supported environmental causes through multiple initiatives, including transitioning to solar\u2011powered offices, running ecology awareness campaigns such as \u201cSay No to Plastic Bags\u201d, and contributing to environmental initiatives across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To further strengthen these efforts, we launched the Green Task Force (GTF)\u2014a dedicated employee volunteer group committed to driving on\u2011ground green initiatives. The GTF was formed for our Head Office employees in June 2023 and subsequently expanded to regional teams in April 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These initiatives are implemented in partnership with Environmental Foundation of India (EFI), an NGO that focuses on the scientific revival of freshwater bodies through community\u2011based conservation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n

Objectives of the Green Task Force<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To build a strong environmental movement within the organisation by inspiring employees to volunteer for India and its environment, while identifying, adopting, and promoting sustainable practices both within and beyond the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To work closely with NGOs on result\u2011oriented, real\u2011time, community\u2011driven conservation projects that create measurable environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employee Volunteer Engagement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our employee volunteers actively participate in a range of hands\u2011on environmental activities, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Beach\/Lake clean\u2011up drives<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Sapling planting initiatives<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Seedball making for ecological restoration<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past few years, the employer volunteer group at Sundaram Finance has had 700 plus volunteers who have contributed to more than 40+ hours of service. And to date more than 8000 seedballs, planted 800 plus saplings, distributed over 13,000 cloth bags and executed over 15 cleanups<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the Green Task Force, Sundaram Finance continues to foster a culture of environmental responsibility while enabling employees to contribute meaningfully to conservation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
