The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) hosted a heartfelt ceremony today at the KMK Stand of the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium to honor Shri Kallidaikurichi S. Viswanathan. The former TNCA Secretary and CEO of Chennai Super Kings was celebrated for his induction into the prestigious Cricket Hall of Fame in Hartford, USA, recognizing his stellar contributions as a cricket administrator.
The event, led by TNCA President Dr. P. Ashok Sigamani, drew an impressive lineup of dignitaries, including former cricketer K. Srikkanth and former TNCA President Rupa Gurunath. Emotional tributes flowed from past and present cricketers, administrators, and Shri Viswanathan’s colleagues, who shared anecdotes of his transformative influence on the sport.
The honoree received a series of thoughtful gifts, including a memento, a blazer, and a symbolic scepter. In his moving acceptance speech, Shri Viswanathan expressed gratitude to Shri N. Srinivasan for his mentorship and to his family for their unwavering support.
