When Kavipriya is drawn into taking care of Sriranjani (Sriranjani), a mysterious woman living in a secluded house in the hills, things quickly take a dark turn. With no mobile phone towers and strange occurrences surrounding the house, Michael becomes suspicious of the job and heads there himself. What unfolds is a gripping narrative filled with supernatural twists, as both Kavipriya and Michael get caught in a web of intrigue.

Performances:
Michael Thangadurai delivers a solid performance, portraying both the caring and sinister sides of his character with finesse. Kavipriya Manoharan shines as the heroine, effectively expressing the full range of emotions—from happiness to fear and anxiety as the mysteries unravel. Her transformation throughout the film leaves a lasting impression. Sriranjani, in a rare and standout role, adds a chilling presence to the film, while Kalairani’s portrayal of a woman trapped by betrayal is heartfelt and gripping.

Supporting Cast:

Music:
The background score by Vivek and Jeshwanth perfectly complements the film’s mood, amplifying the tension and highlighting the emotional isolation of the characters. The music plays a crucial role in enhancing key scenes, while the songs are both enjoyable and impactful.

Cinematography:
Cinematographer Surya Vaithi’s work is noteworthy, beautifully capturing the contrast between the serene forest surroundings and the eerie, mysterious vibes of the isolated house. His visuals are a highlight, adding an extra layer of suspense to the narrative.

Direction and Production:
Arun K.R. impresses with a storyline that is refreshingly different. Despite some minor screenplay flaws and logic gaps, he successfully creates an atmosphere of tension and intrigue, pulling viewers into the twisted world he has created. The production values are solid, with Kaki Jayaseelan’s art direction adding authenticity to the setting.

Verdict:
‘Aragan’ is a film that stands out for its unique premise, strong performances, and engaging twists. While it has its share of flaws, the gripping narrative and suspenseful atmosphere make it an entertaining watch. Fans of thriller and mystery genres will find much to enjoy, and the film delivers on its promise of tension and intrigue from start to finish.
