Hindustan Group of Institutions researchers Feature in Stanford University’s list – Top 2% scientists worldwide

There is a list which have been released — one based on career-long data and another focusing on the performance of researchers in the year 2022 Chennai, October 2023: With great pride Hindustan Group of Institutions announces that five faculty members have been featured in the list of top 2 percent scientists around the world in Stanford University Rankings 2023. The selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in the sub-field. There are two lists which have been released — one based on career-long data and another focusing on the performance of researchers in the year 2022. A total of five professors have been named in both lists — Dr. M.Prabaharan, Dr. Adeyeye Samuel Ayofemi Olalekan, Dr. Panigrahi Puspamitra, Dr. V. Hariram from Hindustan and Dr. M Arulprakasajoth from KCG college of Technology. Two professors have been named in the ‘career’ list — Dr.M.Prabaharan and Dr. M Arulprakasajothi.This recognition is based on a publicly available database of over 96,17,763 top scientists, which includes standardised information on citations, h-index, citations to papers in various authorship positions, and a composite indicator.Speaking about the achievement Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman Hindustan Group of Institutions and Chancellor, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science said

I am happy that the honour came during the time when our institution had acquired A+ (3.48/4) grade by NAAC.Stanford University’s global list includes top 2% scientists in all fields in 2 categories: (1) Career wise and (2) Previous 1 year (2022). Globally, the list comprises 210,199 scientists from all fields who are in the top 2 per cent.
